She Talks to God Daily

There is no loveliness apart from God. With self-help books flooding bookstore isles, it’s easy to see that the majority of humanity, despite their sin, desires to be lovely, to be whole. They crave loveliness albeit searching for it in darkness. But in darkness, they will never find it.

Loveliness will not be found if God is not in her. Loveliness will be lost if God is not her true source of loveliness. One can only be lovely if she has a relationship with the Almighty One who defines purity, love, and goodness.

Loving God and being loved by God is what makes a woman lovely. Walking with God closely and being obedient and surrendered to Him is what makes her lovely. Spending time with Him in His Word and talking to Him prayer is what makes her lovely.

God is the only One who can truly make us lovely. And our loveliness isn’t our own, but His loveliness in us. We’re filthy rags to Him, but in His loveliness, He makes us white as snow.

{Song of Solomon 4:7}
You are altogether lovely, my darling, and no blemish is in you.

{Micah 6:8}
He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?

{Isaiah 64:6}
We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.

{Isaiah 1:18}
“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, They will be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They will be like wool.
