His Treasured Possession

When you belong to Him you become His posession. His prized, treasured, adored possession. You are His inheritance. He values you beyond measure and views you as a gift to Himself. He sees you as a beautiful and as a precious gem. A royal crown that He holds in his hand. You are His. And the majestic God of Heaven is yours. He bought you with the highest price; He bought you with His own blood.

It’s the kind of love, the kind of romance that is almost unbearable to handle in our human state. Yet, tasting this exquisite love of His pulls out our heart’s deepest cry to Him, fainting for more. When a person is truly God’s bride, nothing – and I mean nothing – other than God himself, will ever be able to satisfy again. Experiencing God is the ultimate pleasure and it completely nullifies all other little faulty worldly pleasures–pleasures that will always leave us empty. He’s the one who truly fills and leaves us overflowing and satisfied. That is because we were made for Him. We were made by Him for HIS pleasure, and we will never find true pleasure until we come into contact with His pleasure.

He guides us to Himself by putting in the human heart a craving and a void. Many will seek other pleasures to fill the void that God put in our hearts. That’s why addictions are real. Why sensuality is saturated in our society. Why the buzz of the television won’t quit. Why we latch on to people and material things for personal security. And so many other things. Because we have a real void that we recklessly chase to fill our whole lives. We search for things that might give us pleasure for a moment but always leave us painfully aching. But the void is within us because we’re meant to crawl to Him and find true filling, true life, true pleasure, and true satisfaction. Only He can give it. Once it’s found in Him, the need to fill our souls with any and every other thing in this world melts away and disappears.

He fills us with His beauty, with His love, with His glory. And we become His crown, His joy, His treasure.

We are the object of the King’s love.

{Deuteronomy 7:6}
“For you are a holy people, who belong to the LORD your God. Of all the people on earth, the LORD your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.”

{Song of Songs‬ ‭4‬:‭9-10‬}
“You have captured my heart, my treasure, my bride. You hold it hostage with one glance of your eyes, with a single jewel of your necklace. Your love delights me, my treasure, my bride. Your love is better than wine, your perfume more fragrant than spices.”

{Song of Songs‬ ‭6‬:‭3‬}
“I am my lover’s, and my lover is mine.”

{1 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭23‬}
“God paid a high price for you, so don’t be enslaved by the world.”

{Psalms‬ ‭149‬:‭4}
“For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation.”

{John‬ ‭4‬:‭14‬}
“But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

Your Worth in God

13654117_868421513264639_1963885070779066348_n-2

Let your worth be found in the God who made you. There is a God, and He formed your body inside of your mother’s womb. He made you because He thought of you in His beautiful mind and He wanted you. You’re here because you are wanted. And you’re beautiful because you came from the mind and heart of God, and He only creates beautiful things.

This world and all its offences to the human soul will shred our worth, because its foundations are on worthless things. It’s foundations are not on the only worthy One: Jesus. When the world around you is built up on worthless things, you are susceptible to feelings of worthlessness because us humans are naturally a part of this fallen world. There is not an angle that this world doesn’t pierce a person’s very worth. And with every pierce, more of that person’s worth is broken off. This world is not forgiving. But you know who is?? God. And once you feel His forgiveness and His fiery love seep into your heart, you are not only made new, but built back up. He puts all the worth back into you that this world has taken away. What’s more, because you are His child, your worth becomes immeasurable because GOD came in human form, was beaten and tortured and PIERCED, just to give you Himself and the most valuable inheritance: Heaven with Him, forever.

That’s true worth. The only true worth. All other worth is worthless.

You have so much worth in Him.

God is Within Her

When you belong to God, you are HIS. He claims you as His very own. When you belong to God, nothing and nobody could ever detach you from Him. Not even yourself. Once you’re His treasured possession, there’s not a thing you can (or can’t) do that will end your relationship with Him. He will never turn His back on you. That’s because His love isn’t based on performance. It’s based on Him and His perfect loyal love and faithfulness. We as humans will always be imperfect, and at times, unfaithful, even though our heart may love Him so deeply. But once you are His, He never looks at a single flaw in you again. You are FREE.

And when you find true freedom in Him, it’s like you’ve been holding your breath your entire life and you can finally breathe.

Humans are enslaved until they become free in Jesus. He frees us from everything. He frees us from our sin. He frees us from the punishment of that sin. And even though belonging to Him, we will mess up all the time, there is no guilt or condemnation.

{Romans 8:1-2}
So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.
.

The regenerated, Holy Spirit filled Christian is flawless, holy, sanctified, cleansed white as snow, and pure in the eyes of God, even in the midst of our sin.

{Song of Songs 4:7}
O my love, you are altogether beautiful and fair. There is no flaw nor blemish in you!

My friends, those are His words to those who belong to Him. That’s because when you come to Him, every sin you have ever or will ever commit has been applied to Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross. You are free in God. He looks at His bride with SO much love, so much devotion, so much loyalty, so much favour, mercy, care that it actually leaves my heart ravished. There is no more need to feel guilty once you are His, because He wipes it all away. He is tender and sweet, never angry with us, because His anger was exhausted on Jesus.

He’s the perfect Knight in Shining Armour that every love story aches over but never truly finds in real life until it is found in perfect love Himself.

Alive and Thriving

I take so much pleasure in putting good things into my body. Food is graciously given to us by God to sustain us, grow us, heal us, strengthen us, energize us, refresh us, fill us, and satisfy us. His plants are abundant in nutrients and vitamins – everything our bodies could ever need are found in them.

For Christians, our bodies have the living Spirit of Jesus Christ inside of us. That’s pretty intense, and it wasn’t until after I came to Jesus and was filled by Him spiritually that I started to make sure I was filled by goodness physically. When you put into your body alive and thriving foods, your body thus becomes alive and thriving.

{1 Corinthians 6:19}
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Here I made a delicious and vibrant carrot juice! A bunch of carrots, green apple, and fresh ginger thrown into my juicer. SO GOOD.

The energy this juice gives is astounding. Food is so incredible, and it’s not by accident. We’re extravagantly cared for by the most beautiful Being we could ever love.

The Love of God Never Ends

13776008_862265533880237_5102319063465773951_n

When my eyes feast on beauty like this, I fall in love with God even more. I didn’t think I could love Him any more, yet I go deeper. And that’s because His love never ends. You know what that means? Never-ending love is just that: never-ending. One will never find the end to His love. Never find a limit. Never find a wall. It goes on forever, and it’s a love that never tires. It’s always fresh, always new, always true. It takes you by surprise, it fills you in new ways, it compels you to love Him with everything in you. His love is stronger than death. It’s multifaceted. It always goes deeper. It overcomes and consumes and turns your insides into fire.

He IS love. Real love.

Not the fake love that society is saturated with, but real love. Love that never gives up, never runs dry, never abandons. Love that is fierce, protecting, and shielding. Love that is caring, tender, and compassionate. Love that never requires anything from the other in order to love. Love that never hurts, never acts selfishly, and never lies. Love that stands the test of time, and passes into eternity. Love that seeks, pursues, allures. Love that romances, enchants, and dazzles. Love that respects, is loyal, and attached. Love that does whatever it takes to look after the betterment of the other, no matter the cost. Love that is so powerful, death seems like nothing. Love that makes the heart beat faster, the pulse race, and breathing quicken. Love that overcomes all obstacles. Love that will never die. Love that lasts forever.

The love of God, and His Bride returning that love back. That’s true love. Jesus is love. And when a soul loves Him back…no words can fully describe it. It’s beyond this world.

His love is absolutely inexhaustible. If you don’t have it, don’t you want a love like that? It can only be found in God.

Never again will you be called “The Forsaken City” or “The Desolate Land.” Your new name will be “The City of God’s Delight” and “The Bride of God,” for the LORD delights in you and will claim you as his bride.
{Isaiah 62:4}

He Drowns our Fears

13718596_861188043987986_4958236895856474442_n

There are so many reasons to be afraid in this world. This world can be a scary, uncertain, miserable place sometimes. And it’s easy to be tossed by the wind of difficulties and trials. Experiencing these things without being close to God can leave us unstable and hopeless. Angry and confused. And worst of all, scared. That’s how our soul is without Him: in constant turmoil and shifted with each storm that passes through our short life. Dependant on circumstances.

It’s not the way we were meant to go through this life. We were meant to be connected and have a relationship with the God who made us. We need Him more than we need our next breath. He’s the one who gives our next breath! When we begin a relationship with Him, our lives are turned around. They go from upside down chaos to straight and at peace as our hearts sink deep into His love–the love of the One who made us.

Before I came to Christ, I was scared. I didn’t know what giving my heart to Him meant for my life. Coming from a purely human and limited perspective, I thought it was going to be hard. Yes, walking closely with God, you face many challenges in life. But I in no way ever could have fathomed that having a real relationship with God meant I would be overcome by love so strong I almost couldn’t take it. That I would go through my days being intimately close with the Creator of the One who made the stars. That I would feel His presence, that I would be so overcome with joy inside of my chest that I literally thought I would explode. That I would receive a peace so beyond this world and any of my circumstances. That I would fall in love with Him and learn about how STRONGLY He is in love with me. That I would be His. Forever.

But that’s what faith is. He wants our faith extended to Him, and it’s not until we offer it that He fills us with His whirlwind romance. He is the most trustworthy, unchanging, protective thing that we could put our soul’s trust in. He will guard our hearts, spirits, souls until the end of time.

God is perfect, and He protects those who are His. He drowns our fears. 🔥
